The Gantt Chart is a valuable tool when overlapping deliverables and dependencies need to be tracked and visualized at a glance. One possible disadvantage of this tool is that it doesn't follow work effort, so it would need to be supplemented with another system or tool in an Agile environment.
Project Charter

The charter is completed before the learning design process begins in order to make sure the project is feasible and that the scope is realistic.

Project Management Experience
Connecting Prior Experience to New Knowledge
The feeling of surprise was my reaction to learning about necessary project management components. Although I learned new things, such as how to use a Gantt chart and a Kanban Board, I had already implemented necessary project management components for nearly 20 years. 2-3 times per year, I designed, developed, produced, and directed musical presentations. During this time I developed a document template that combined the milestones, a corresponding storyboard, and a communication plan. The image to the left illustrates 1 row of this document. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
A work breakdown structure is a tremendous help in breaking down the tasks into small components so that the process can be organized in terms of project progress and division of labor. It helps to make complex projects more manageable.

Project Flowchart
A Project Flowchart helps the project manager view the project processes ( inputs and outputs) at a glance. Problems with the efficiency of the workflow can be identified and remedied with more ease by creating this document.
